Our History

Kellyville Bushrangers were formed in 1996 by Parramatta Rugby League to compete in the NSWRL Metropolitan Cup. The original home ground was Cavanagh Reserve in Lalor Park.

Timeline

1996

Kellyville Bushrangers formed by Parramatta Rugby League to compete in the NSWRL Metropolitan Cup. The original home ground was Cavanagh Reserve in Lalor Park.
  • First game: lost 40–16 to Newtown
  • First try scorer: John Stead
  • First club captain: Arthur Pappas

1997

Entered the Parramatta District Junior Rugby League with U9 and U10 teams.

2000

First premiership: 2000 Under 9 Division 3

2004

Renamed Kellyville Rouse Hill Bushrangers to reflect the growing region.

2010

Launched the first all-girls team ("Princesses of Rugby League") in a mixed U6 comp.

2018

Entered inaugural Under 14 Girls competition.

2019

Joined Try Time Rugby League, welcoming players with special needs.

2020

Four teams made the Grand Final; U16 Girls took home the premiership.

2023

3 premiership winning teams, A grade, U10s

2024

Temporarily relocated to Wrights Rd Reserve for the Construction of the Parramatta Eels Centre of excellence

2025

Celebrating 30 years of community, courage, and connection. With 1 premiership team being the U12s

2026

First Open Womens team in the clubs history and introduction of LeagueTag
